Hear for the Holidays Competition

Give Someone Close To You The Gift Of Better Hearing [Nominations Open]

Nominate Someone Special And Help Them Experience Better Hearing This Holiday Season

Have you got a friend or family member who is dealing with hearing loss but is afraid to get help?

Perhaps they’re scared to take the first step, or maybe they’re put off by the price tag. Whatever their concerns, we are here to help.

This holiday season, we’re giving one special individual the chance to win a complimentary pair of hearing aids – free of charge – and access to audiological hearing care.

As someone who has suffered from the effects of hearing loss first-hand, you know just how tiring hearing loss can be.

Unlike others, you can spot the hard of hearing a lot easier, particularly if their masking techniques like lipreading and asking others to repeat themselves are habits you once had.

If you have a friend or loved one who you believe deserves the chance of better hearing, then fill out the form on this page and nominate them.

Tell their story and let us know why you think they deserve this opportunity.

Shortly after, on November 30, we will be announcing the winner to all, inviting them into the clinic for a comprehensive hearing assessment and fitting of their new hearing aids.

Giving back to the community of Lumberton is incredibly important to us, which is why we set out to serve the people of Hardin County.

This is just one opportunity for local people to access better hearing, and we hope it provides a stepping stone to a better quality of life.

You have until November 30 to send in your nominations – good luck!

Who Are Big Thicket Hearing Aids & Audiology?

Big Thicket Hearing Aids & Audiology is a truly community-focused hearing aid and hearing center. We’re here to provide the best hearing care possible at affordable prices.

Hearing loss is not something you’d ever choose to go through, but you can choose who helps you get through it. The team here at Big Thicket Hearing Aids & Audiology are all committed to one thing: giving our patients the best service possible, and it’s that promise that ensures all our patients get a personalized service. We’re also passionate about educating our local community around the importance of hearing care, which is something that many of us often neglect or take for granted.

With her externship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC. Dr. Joni Ruiz has spent many years working as an audiologist in the medical system, as well as a 12-month period working closely with both veterans and active-duty military.

This opened her eyes to the challenges of the system and the bespoke hearing requirements often posed by patients who work or live in very specific environments.

So, she was inspired to open her own Audiology and Hearing center, putting necessity, affordability, and quality of patient care at its heart.

No quotas, no targets, no jumping through hoops; just simply giving patients the help and care that they need, regardless of their background or situation.
